Beautiful Nissewaard

Beautiful Nissewaard

Our municipality will be 10 years old in 2025!

Jan Brons, I (Karin van Es) and Amanda van den Berg meet regularly in the De Akkers community center.
To discuss things with each other, to talk about fun projects and so we came to create exhibition space for all photographers in Nissewaard where we can continuously show changing exhibitions from different photographers throughout the year. A kind of Photo Museum in Spijkenisse.

Dream big - Start small

While talking, I challenged Amanda and Jan to do a social project together.
While chatting about various topics, we came up with the garbage that is being spewed out over our municipality. Ever since it became known what the name would become, many Nissewaarders have called their own municipality "Municipality no longer worth anything". So quite painful...
I personally think that the harder you focus on everything that is not going well, the more things don't seem to be going well.

That was the reason for us to voice opposition!
Because if you learn to look at what you like... Then you will see more and more beautiful things.

We hope to inspire you by showing what we like about our municipality from three different perspectives.

The volunteers of the Weggeverhoek Samen voor Elkaar Foundation who work together to ensure that it remains a positive and pleasant group. I think sharing and connecting, seeing and being seen is what describes the group beautifully.
